Problems solved by technology

[0005] Problems common to known types of disconnectors relate to the need to limit or prevent the phenomenon of the form known as arcing, both in direct current and alternating current circuits
[0010] But these known types of cutters have disadvantages, which include bulky construction and complex geometry in order to at least partially meet the above requirements
[0011] Another disadvantage of these known types of cutters is that the assembly of the parts is difficult

Embodiment Construction

[0038] With reference to the accompanying drawings, a disconnector, indicated generally with reference number 1 , especially for photovoltaic applications, comprises at least two modular contact boxes 2 each comprising a box-shaped body 3 , said box-shaped body 3 is connected to an adjacent box-like body 3 of an adjacent modular contact box 2. The box-like body 3 is formed with a central seat 40 accommodating the rotatable contact 4 and two peripheral seats 50 each accommodating a fixed contact 5 capable of being removed from the modular contact. The connecting portion 51 that is accessible to the outside of the head box 2 . The rotatable contact 4 is rotatable about the axis 40 a of the central seat 40 relative to the box-shaped body 3 to engage or disengage the fixed contact 5 having its connection portion 51 arranged in the peripheral seat 50 .

[0039] According to the invention, the two peripheral seats 50 of the same box-shaped body 3 are arranged on the same side with ...

Abstract

A disconnector (1), particularly for photovoltaic applications, comprising at least two modular contact boxes (2), each comprising a box-like body (3) coupled to a contiguous box-like body (3) of a contiguous modular contact box (2). The box-like body (3) form s a central seat (40) that accommodates a rotatable contact (4) and two peripheral seats (50), each of which accommodates a connection portion (51) of a corresponding fixed contact (5) that can be accessed from the outside of the modular contact box (2). The rotatable contact (4) is able to rotate about the axis (40a) of the central seat (40) with respect to the box-like body (3) in order to engage the fixed contacts (5) arranged with their connection portion (51) in the peripheral seats (50) or to disengage from the fixed contacts (5); the two peripheral seats (50) are arranged on the same side (30) with respect to a central plane (A) that passes through the axis (40a) of the central seat (40) and in the fact that the two peripheral seats (50) of a box-like body (3) and the two peripheral seats (50) of the contiguous box-like body (3) are arranged on mutually opposite sides with respect to the central plane (A).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a disconnector, in particular for photovoltaic applications. Background technique [0002] In a photovoltaic system, the smaller currents generated in each photovoltaic cell are combined in parallel to provide the current or total power required to utilize the system. It is therefore customary in photovoltaic systems that each individual photovoltaic cell is isolated, protected and disconnected. It is known in the field of photovoltaic applications (but generally in the field of devices for electronic systems) to achieve this by using disconnectors and rotary switches therein. [0003] Known types of disconnectors generally consist of one or more modular contact boxes, each usually comprising a rotatable contact and a pair of stationary contacts. The rotation of the rotatable contacts (in the case where the connection of two or more modular contact boxes takes place simultaneously for each module) makes it possible to prevent...
