The present invention provides a selection method, cultivation method and artificial spawning method for parent fishes of Triplophysa xichangensis, and a method for feeding a seed first feed or the like. The method includes the steps: under an artificial controllable condition of water quality and cultivation, employing two doses of oxytocic including luteinizing hormone releasing hormone A2(LHRH-A2) and human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) on the parent fishes, and allowing gonad development of female fishes and male fishes to be substantially synchronous; and employing natural spawning insemination, and taking the cooked egg yolk as the seed first feed. The method has the high induced spawning rate, the high fertility rate, the high hatching rate and unanimous seedling emergence, the induced spawning rate is 100%, the fertility rate is higher than 95%, the hatching rate is in a range from 75% to 95%, and the survival rate is higher than 95%. The practical applications prove that the method is low in cost, is simple to operate, is highly operable, and is suitable for large scale production of Triplophysa xichangensis.
