The method comprises: packaging, by the upper computer, an upgrading program into multiple data frames and transmitting the data frames to a transfer lower computer through a first communication network; receiving, by the transfer lower computer, the multiple data frames in order and acquiring lower computer identification information in each data frame; when determining that the data frames belong to an upgrading program of the transfer lower computer according to the lower computer identification information, upgrading a local application program by using all the data frames of the upgrading program; when determining that the data frames belong to an upgrading program of a non-transfer lower computer according to the lower computer identification information, transmitting the data frames to the non-transfer lower computer; and upgrading, by the non-transition lower computer, the local application program by using all the data frames of the upgrading program.
