The present disclosure relates to a system, method and apparatus for integrating a centralized ad hoc network into a network. In one example embodiment there is provided an ad hoc network element in communication with at least one long term evolution (LTE) wireless network and at least one transport communication network. Such an ad-hoc network element is operable to obtain information related to an updated neighbor list from a plurality of evolved base stations (eNBs) belonging to at least one wireless network, and to transmit the obtained information related to the updated neighbor list to a transmitting At least one management entity of the communication network.
