Abstract

The invention provides a preparation method of 2-diallylaminomethylbenzimidazole. The method is characterized in comprising the following steps: step 1, under an inert atmosphere environment, 2-chloromethylbenzimidazole, diallylamine, a solid alkali carrier rare metal element catalyst, K2CO3, iron salt, ammonium molybdate and quaternary ammonium salt are subjected to a reflux reaction in a solvent for at least 2h; step 2, when the reaction is finished, a reaction liquid is filtered; step 3, an organic phase in the filtrate is collected; and step 4, the organic phase is concentrated and cooled, such that 2-diallylaminomethylbenzimidazole is obtained. The invention also provides 2-diallylaminomethylbenzimidazole and a penetrating fluorescent whitening intermediate compound, and an application thereof in a surface sizing agent. With the preparation method provided by the invention, a product purification treatment process is greatly simplified, and equipment corrosion during the preparation process is eliminated. With the obtained product, fluorescent whitening can be achieved, and the color mordant property of the product can be improved.
