The embodiment of the invention discloses an equipment state and resource information monitoring method.The method comprises the steps that a network function virtualization infrastructure (NFVI) receives a subscription message sent through a virtual network function (VNF); the NFVI reports equipment states and resource monitoring information of virtual machines or vessels deployed with the VNF to the VNF through an NFVI interface according to the subscription message.By means of the equipment state and resource information monitoring method, the equipment states and the resource information of the virtual machines or the vessels can be monitored uniformly through the NFVI for the virtual machines or the vessels deployed with the VNF, repeated monitoring caused when each virtual machine or each vessel has an own equipment state and resource monitoring mechanism is avoided, and thus the resource monitoring expenditure of a network function virtualization system is reduced.
