Abstract

The shell body comprises a cylindrical side wall, a rear air inlet end and a front air outlet end, wherein the rear air inlet end and the front air outlet end are located at the two ends of the side wall, and air inlets close to the rear air inlet end are formed in the side wall. The fan is arranged in the shell body and is close to the air inlets. The heat exchanger is arranged in the shell body and located between the air inlets and the fan. A forward air duct which is located in the shell body and in front of the fan is formed in the indoor unit of the air conditioner. The forward air duct is in a forward horn shape, a slot-shaped air outlet is formed in the front air outlet end, and a transverse air duct which penetrates through the inner side of the shell body and the inner side of the forward air duct is further formed in the portion, close to the air outlet, of the indoor unit of the air conditioner. In this way, indoor-temperature air in a room is exhausted from the transverse air duct and mixed with heat-exchange air which is exhausted from the forward air duct and subjected to heat exchange through the heat exchanger at the front air outlet end, and thus the comfortable air supply effect that air which is cool but not cold and warm but not hot is supplied is achieved.
