The method comprises the following steps of: displaying a live broadcasting room switching option on a video live broadcasting page; obtaining a first user identifier, a first room identifier of a first live broadcasting room where a first user is, and a second room identifier of a second live broadcasting room to be switched while detecting clicking trigger operation of the live broadcasting room switching option, wherein both live broadcasting windows of the first live broadcasting room and the second live broadcasting room are positioned on the video live broadcasting page; and sending a live broadcasting room switching request to a server, wherein the live broadcasting room switching request at least includes the first user identifier, the first room identifier and the second room identifier, and the server controls the first user to be switched from the first live broadcasting room to the second live broadcasting room after receiving the live broadcasting room switching request. According to the method and the device disclosed by the invention, rapid switching of live broadcasting rooms is realized under the double-anchor live broadcasting condition; it is convenient for audiences to give a gift or send bullet screen messages and the like; and the efficiency is relatively high.
