Abstract

A method for correlating processes and connections comprises the steps that an identifier ID of the first process and N connection IDs relevant to the first process are acquired; first nodes are inserted one by one, and a first line chain table and N column chain tables including the N first nodes are set up, wherein the first nodes located in the column chain tables respectively, and each first node comprises a line indicating region and a column indicating region; the ID of the first process is stored in the line indicating regions of all the first nodes, and one connection ID is stored in the column indicating region of each first node; N is the number of the connections relevant to the first process. The processes and the connections are stored through a cross chain table structure so that the processes and the connection are correlated. By means of the method, TCP connections and processes can be dynamically tracked, the tracking efficiency is high, and relevant information of the connections and the processes can be checked conveniently.
