Abstract

The invention relates to a concentric closure system between a cover and a stator in an electric machine. The cover (2, 20) comprises at least one contact portion (2a, 20a), the end of which comprises at least one region of deformable material (6, 60); the stator (1, 10) comprises at least one positioning hole (1a, 10a ), the positioning hole (1a, 10a) has a surface surrounding the positioning hole, wherein, when closed, the contact portion (2a, 20a) presses against the above-mentioned surface of the stator surrounding the positioning hole (1a, 10a). The region of deformable material (6, 60) is configured to at least partially deform under pressure to produce deformed material (6a, 60a) and overflow material (6b, 60b). The deformation material adheres to the inner wall of the positioning hole (1a, 10a) by interference. The overflow material (6b, 60b) is received in a recessed area (5, 50) of one of the contact portion of the cover (2, 20) and the stator surface (1, 10). The invention also covers a method for closure between a cover and a stator in an electric machine.
