Abstract

A device for generating and delivering nitric oxide (NO) to a treatment site includes a main unit, a dispenser, a connector hose, and a mobile stand. The main unit provides power and gas to the dispenser via the connector hose. The dispenser contains a plasma generator for generating NO in a plasma state. The main unit contains a user interface to enable a user to control at least one operational aspect of the device. The dispenser includes: a gun grip; a trigger for actuating the plasma generator; a hose connection for coupling to the connector hose; and a vent hood portion for enabling the plasma generator The tip of the device is spaced from the treatment site by a predetermined distance. Sensors are provided with the dispenser to send feedback and monitor application site temperature near application, dispenser movement, etc.
