Abstract

The invention provides an intra-cell and inter-cell joint electricity-saving method and device. The method includes the following steps that: cell state information including load values, energy saving types and activation states of each cell, which is reported by the cells, is received, wherein the cells include energy saving cells and compensation cells; according to pre-obtained corresponding relations between the load values and power consumption values of each cell under the different activation states of various kinds of energy saving types and the received cell state information, power consumption values P1 saved by turning off the energy saving cells and power consumption increase values P2 of compensation cells which are brought about by switching the energy saving cells to the corresponding compensation cells are calculated, and the difference values of the power consumption values P1 and the power consumption increase values P2 are calculated; and an energy saving cell corresponding to the largest difference value is determined according to the difference values, and the determined energy saving cell is turned off. According to the intra-cell and inter-cell joint electricity-saving method and device of the invention, the energy saving potentials of a base station itself and a whole network are utilized, so that the power consumption of the network can be reduced, and the efficiency of the network can be improved.
