Embodiment Construction
[0035] In larger wire processing machines, typical devices for removing at least one layer of the jacketing of electrical conductors or light guides are stripping machines or corresponding systems. In addition to the at least two jaws of the clamping unit 51 , a rotary stripping head 50 is provided, wherein the jaws can be moved radially relative to the conductor for fixing the conductor in the longitudinal direction. In the stripping head 50 , which is started to rotate during operation by means of a drive motor 52 , the centering and stripping of the conductor takes place, for which dedicated drives 53 , 54 are provided. Likewise, a separate drive 55 is provided for the clamping unit 51 . A further drive 56 is provided for movement along the longitudinal axis of the stripping head 50, wherein the conductor to be processed is stretched in order to withdraw the separated conductor's cladding pieces from the stripping head.
