Abstract

The invention discloses an adapter for a hole saw. The adapter comprises a sleeve, a spindle and a hollow shaft sleeve, wherein the sleeve comprises an inner hole which penetrates through the sleeve in the axial direction, and the inner hole comprises a coupling section and a release section; the spindle comprises a first section which is inserted in the inner hole of the sleeve and is provided with a shaft diameter smaller than the diameter of the inner hole; a threaded part for the screwed engagement of the hole saw is arranged on one side, away from the first section, of the spindle; the hollow sleeve is provided with an inside profile matched with the first section and an outside profile matched with the coupling section; the hollow sleeve is assembled on the spindle by the matching of the inside profile with the first section, wherein the adapter is provided with a coupling position and a release position in the axial direction; in the coupling position, the outside profile is matched with the coupling section so that the spindle drives the sleeve to rotate; and in the release position, the outside profile is disengaged from the coupling section and enters the release section, so that the spindle rotates independently of the sleeve. The adapter for a hole saw disclosed by the invention is easy to assemble and disassemble, is easy to adjust during use, and is stably connected with the hole saw during use.
