Abstract

The present invention provides a method for matching images to content based on keyword representations. According to one embodiment, the method comprises the content analysis module receiving content information of a content item, said content information comprising a plurality of first keywords associated with said content item. A content analysis module performs analysis on the first keyword associated with the content item. A keyword classifier classifies the first keywords into a plurality of categories based on the analysis, each category including one or more second keywords selected from the first keywords. For each of said categories, one or more images are identified based on the corresponding said second keywords. The category / image mapping module generates a category / image mapping table for said content items such that each said category is mapped to a corresponding recognized image. The category / image map is used to match the content item with one of the images based on a result category determined in response to a search query.
