Abstract

Various arrangements are presented for managing co-existence of a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver with one or more transceivers. A coexistence manager obtains one or more parameters associated with a first transceiver of the one or more transceivers operating in accordance with a first radio access technology (RAT) and corresponding to an operating event. The first transceiver is capable of operating in accordance with one or more RATs. The coexistence manager further determines that the one or more parameters impacts an operation of the GNSS receiver and exceeds a predefined threshold and instructs the first transceiver to perform at least one of selecting a second RAT, changing the one or more parameters or any combination thereof to transmit at least a first portion of a data corresponding to the operating event based on the determination that the one or more parameters impacts the operation of the GNSS receiver.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates generally to wireless communications, and more particularly to managing coexistence of a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver with one or more Radio Access Technology (RAT) transceivers. Background technique [0002] When a Radio Access Technology (RAT) transceiver transmits data wirelessly via an antenna, a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver located on the same device may or may not be able to process the received GNSS signals for performing position determination. In some cases, RAT transceivers may generate sufficient amounts of noise and / or interference when transmitting that negatively affects the ability of a GNSS receiver to properly receive and process GNSS signals. Consequently, the performance of the collocated GNSS receiver is degraded during the time the RAT transceiver is transmitting. When the RAT transceiver is transmitting, the GNSS receiver may be instructed to blank or oth...
