Problems solved by technology

However, DWT causes aliasing. In addition, due to the downsampling process in the DWT transformation process, DWT does not have translation invariance
In order to overcome some defects of DWT, Rockinger et al. proposed the stationary wavelet transform (SWT). SWT has translation invariance, but like DWT, there are only high-frequency subbands in three directions.
Minh N.Do et al proposed the contourlet transform (CT). Compared with DWT and SWT, CT has more directional subbands in the high frequency part, but it lacks translation invariance

Embodiment Construction

[0060] The embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. This embodiment is carried out on the premise of the technical solution of the present invention, such as figure 1 As shown, the detailed implementation and specific operation steps are as follows:

[0061] 1) The two multi-focus images to be fused are decomposed using NSCT transformation, and the low-frequency subbands are obtained after image decomposition and high frequency subband coefficients , where “maxflat” is selected for the scale decomposition LP, “pmaxflat” is selected for the direction filter bank, and the direction decomposition parameter is set to [3,4,5];

[0062] 2) The high-frequency sub-band coefficients containing detailed information are fused using a fusion strategy in which the absolute value of the NSCT coefficient is large;

Abstract

The invention discloses an infrared and visible light image fusion method based on non-subsampled contourlets and target credibility and mainly aims to solve the problem that a target is not clear enough in an infrared and visible light image fusion result. The method comprises the implementation steps that (1) non-subsampled contourlet transformation (NSCT) is performed on to-be-fused two images, and disintegration is performed to obtain a low-frequency sub-band and a high-frequency sub-band; (2) a fusion strategy of taking a large absolute value of NSCT coefficients is used to perform fusion for high-frequency sub-band coefficients containing detailed information; (3) fusion is realized through an adaptive mixed fusion strategy based on the target credibility for NSCT low-frequency sub-band coefficients; and (4) NSCT inverse transformation is executed on the high-frequency coefficients and the low-frequency coefficients after fusion to obtain a fusion image. Through the method, target information of an infrared image can be fully extracted, details of a visible light image can be effectively protected, the visual effect can be improved, and compared with a traditional fusion method, the quality of the fusion image is greatly improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an infrared and visible light image fusion method based on non-subsampling contourlet and target reliability, which is a fusion method in the technical field of image processing and is widely used in military monitoring. Background technique [0002] The fusion of infrared and visible light images is of great significance in the field of surveillance and military. Infrared images can record thermal infrared radiation information in the image scene, but usually the resolution of infrared images is low. Visible light images are good at expressing detailed texture information but difficult to express thermal infrared radiation information. Considering the complementarity between the infrared image and the visible light image, the new image obtained by fusing the infrared image and the visible light image of the same scene will have the function of thermal radiation target positioning and high resolution at the same time.
