The method comprises the steps of when permission opening demands for a target application are detected, displaying a user interface; displaying preset images, on the user interface, relevant to a target permission which is requested to be opened by the permission opening demands, wherein the images are used for indicating and opening operation procedures of the target permission; if operation confirmation is received on the user interface, receiving setting operation of the target permission for the target application on a displayed permission setting page; according to the setting operation, determining a permission setting result of the target application. By the adoption of the permission setting method and device, the electronic equipment and the storage medium, demands for permission setting automation and intelligence of the user are met, and the efficiency of application permission setting is improved.
