Abstract

The invention relates to M2M systems, and specifically, to a method for querying semantics, resolving a problem of unnecessary network overhead in a semantic query owing to acquiring a remote semantic description resource unrelated to the present semantic query. In one embodiment of the invention, the method comprises: receiving a first semantic query request; employing two or more query triples in the first semantic query to query for a first queried object satisfying a first query rule; employing a partial query triple and a resource link query triple to query for a second query object of a remote semantic description resource and linked to an attribute indicated by the partial query triple, and to query for the attribute or a resource indicated by the partial query triple; and transmitting, to an apparatus storing the partial query triple linked to the attribute indicated by the partial query triple, a second semantic query request to determine whether the attribute indicated by the partial query triple satisfies a second query rule. The embodiment of the invention is suitable for a semantic query process.
