Abstract

The invention provides a flexible ethernet (FlexE) path establishment method and network equipment. The management complexity and the signaling overhead of the control plane of nodes can be reduced. The method comprises the steps that a first forwarding node receives a first path establishment request message transmitted by a first source node, wherein the first path establishment request messageis used for establishing a first FlexE path from the first source node to a first destination node, and the first FlexE path is used for transmitting first business flow; the first forwarding node establishes a second FlexE path from the first forwarding node to a second forwarding node according to the first path establishment request message and deletes the established third FlexE path from thefirst forwarding node to the second forwarding node after establishing the second FlexE path; and the first forwarding node establishes and saves the corresponding relationship of the first FlexE pathand the second FlexE path so that the first business flow and the second business flow are enabled to be mapped to the time slot of the second FlexE path.
