Embodiment Construction

[0077] The following description is given to enable one skilled in the art to make and use the invention, and is presented in the context of a particular application and its requirements. Those skilled in the art will readily recognize various modifications to the disclosed embodiments, and the general principles defined herein may be applied to other embodiments and applications without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Thus, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments shown, but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the principles and features disclosed herein. In this disclosure, when a phrase uses the term "and / or" with respect to a set of entities, unless otherwise indicated, the phrase encompasses all possible combinations of the set of entities. For example, the phrase "X, Y, and / or Z" covers combinations of the following: "only X", "only Y", "only Z", "X and Y, but no Z", "X and Z, but No Y", "Y and Z, but no X", and "X, Y ...

Abstract

This disclosure relates to multidimensional search and retrieval, and keyword-based search and retrieval on losslessly reduced data by organizing prime data elements (the data structure that organizesthe prime data elements is called the prime data sieve) using components of a structure of an input dataset so that searches can be performed on the losslessly reduced data based on the one or more components of the structure. For every prime data element, the prime data sieve can retain a reverse reference to the losslessly reduced representation of each chunk that refers to the prime data element. Some embodiments create and maintain a keyword index for losslessly reduced data. Some embodiments losslessly reduce input data using a distributed system.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure generally relates to data storage, searching, retrieval and communication. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to performing multi-dimensional search, contextual retrieval, and keyword-based search and retrieval on data that has been losslessly simplified using elementary data filters. Background technique [0002] Today's information age is marked by the generation, capture and analysis of vast amounts of data. New data is generated from a variety of sources, examples of which include purchase transaction records, business and government records and communications, emails, social media posts, digital pictures and videos, machine logs, signals from embedded devices, digital sensors, Cellular telephony, global positioning satellites, space satellites, scientific computing, and grand challenge science. Data is generated in a variety of formats, many of which are unstructured and not suitable for input into tradition...
