Abstract

The invention relates to the field of microwave discharge plasma, and specifically relates to an atmospheric-pressure low-power microwave hairpin resonant discharger. The discharger comprises a quartztube, a U-shaped metal wire, a grounding copper glue film, and a carrier gas input end. A U-shaped metal wire in the quartz tube is electrically connected with a microwave power meter and a power amplifier, and the power amplifier is electrically connected to a pulse signal modulator and a microwave signal generator. One end of the quartz tube serves as the carrier gas input end. The discharger employs a hairpin-shaped microwave resonant electrode as a discharge driver. Different types of carrier gas serve as working gas under the atmospheric pressure, and the working gas enters the quartz tube through the carrier gas input end, and passes through the U-shaped metal wire. The microwave signal generator is started, and the pulse frequency value of the pulse signal modulator is set. The power amplifier is adjusted to maintain the specific power output while observing the microwave power meter. The discharge phenomenon happens in the quartz tube, and the tip of the U-shaped metal wire generates a plasma plume. Moreover, a clear arch-shaped pattern is presented.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of microwave discharge plasma, in particular to an atmospheric pressure low-power microwave hairpin resonant discharger. Background technique [0002] In the mid-1870s, Stenzel first designed a microwave resonance probe for diagnosing electron density at pressures below 100Pa. The shape of this microwave resonance probe is similar to the letter U, so it is called a hairpin probe. According to the working principle of the microwave transmission line, the hairpin probe is a quarter-wavelength microwave resonator, one end of which is excited and the other end is open. This structure ensures that the voltage at the open end has the maximum voltage value, and A locally enhanced electric field is distributed at the open end of the hairpin probe. Because the plasma sheath structure around the hairpin electrode has a clear distribution only in the lower pressure range, and only with a clear sheath structure can th...
