Abstract

A toilet assembly includes a base, a water tank arranged on the base and a water inlet chamber formed in the base. The water inlet chamber includes an inlet portion including an upstream end defining an upstream inner diameter and a downstream end defining a downstream inner diameter, the downstream inner diameter being smaller than the upstream inner diameter. The inlet chamber also includes a bend extending downstream from the inlet portion, the bend defining a bend diameter that is substantially the same as the downstream inner diameter. The inlet portion is configured to receive water from the water tank. The toilet assembly also includes a flush valve disposed in the tank, the flush valve defining a valve outlet disposed below the tank and in the inlet portion of the water inlet chamber.

Description

[0001] Cross references to related patent applications [0002] This application claims the benefit of and priority to US Provisional Patent Application No. 62 / 415,899, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. technical field [0003] This disclosure generally relates to the field of toilets. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a toilet water inlet structure for reducing the amount of water required to flush the toilet. Background technique [0004] In general, toilets that use more water in one flush cycle have better flush performance (eg, resist clogging, clear waste, clean bowl, etc.) than toilets that use less water. However, a combination of government regulations and fresh water scarcity have reduced the amount of water used by toilets during a flush cycle. For example, the US federal government sets a maximum water consumption of 1.6gpf (gallons per flush), while some states set a maximum of 1.28gpf. While some toilets ca...
