The N is a positive integer greater than 1. The method comprises the steps that a first downloading node in the N nodes receives information of a first upstream downloading node sent by the query server, wherein the firstupstream downloading node is the node which is determined in a downloading source set based on a balanced downloading policy and is used for providing downloading service of a mirror image file for the first downloading node, and the downloading source set comprises the file server and at least one node which downloads the mirror image file in the N nodes; and the first downloading node downloadsthe mirror image file from the first upstream downloading node.
