The method comprises the steps that an authentication server receives a parcelcollecting authentication request; then, a storage list associated with a storage terminal number in the parcel collecting authentication request is obtained; the storage list records to-be-collectedparcel user information and storage number of stored parcels in the storage terminal; then, an historical human face image reserved by a to-be-collected parcel user is obtained from a human face image library according to the to-be-collected parcel user information of the storage list, a human face image, collected by the storage terminal, of a parcel collecting user is matched with the obtainedhistorical human face image; on the condition that matching succeeds, a successfully matched target storage number in the storage list is obtained, and the target storage number is returned; the storage terminal server can send an instruction for opening a target storage space corresponding to the target storage number to the storage terminal.
