Abstract

The invention relates to an anti-theft alarm device and method for a rack type distribution transformer. The device comprises a rectifier, a conversion type relay, a switch, a UPS (uninterruptable power system) and a communication module, wherein the control end of the conversion type relay is connected with a null line and any one of three phases of an incoming switch power supply side of the distribution transformer through a rectifier, a normally-closed contact is connected with the UPS, and a normally open contact is connected with the communication module; the communication module is usedfor sending alarm information to the terminal. The method comprises steps as follows: whether voltage continuously exists between any one of the three phases of the incoming switch power supply sideof the distribution transformer and the null line is detected, and if not, the rack type distribution transformer is stolen; when the rack type distribution transformer is stolen, the communication module is triggered through the relay; the communication module transmits outage information to the terminal. According to the device and the method, overall anti-theft of the rack type distribution transformer can be realized without influencing maintenance of the distribution transformer; besides, the device is simple in structure, and popularization and application are facilitated.
