Abstract

The present invention provides an eccentric oscillating type gear device and a method of manufacturing the same, which is aimed at achieving positioning of an eccentric body shaft with respect to a wheel carrier at a lower cost. The eccentric oscillating gear device (G1) includes: an internal gear (12); an external gear (150) meshing with the internal gear; and an eccentric body shaft (14) havingan eccentric body for swinging the external gear (153) a wheel carrier (155) disposed on an axial side of the external gear and supporting the eccentric body shaft; and an eccentric body shaft bearing(157) disposed between the eccentric body shaft and the wheel frame, wherein the eccentric body shaft bearing has a roller (159) and an outer ring (163) formed separately from the wheel carrier, andthe gear device has a thrust receiving mechanism disposed between the stepped portion (165) arranged on the eccentric body shaft and the eccentric body shaft bearing, and the thrust receiving mechanism abuts against the axial end surface (163E) of the outer ring.
