The aviation plug field static image detection algorithm includes the following steps: 1) performing hierarchical clustering on images of an aerial plug, and ending clustering of each layer by using customized discriminating conditions; 2) according to the coordinates ofa pin, identifying parameters: the rotation angle, the distance between the horizontal axes and the distance between the longitudinal axes of adjacent pins; and 3) according to the obtained parameters, converting a template, calculating the difference between the coordinates of the pin of the converted template and the coordinates of the pin of the plug, and when the difference is larger, determining that the pin has a fault.
