Abstract

The present invention relates to a split detection system and method. The split detection system includes: a CB, configured to determine a frame slot number of the PE device accessing the CB when it is detected that the PE device accesses the CB, and send the frame slot number to a master device in the PE device, the PE device being a first IRF including at least two member devices; and a master device in the PE device, configured to configure a LACP MAD detection function on a port connected to the CB by each member device included in the PE device after receiving a frame slot number sent bythe CB, and to use the frame slot number as a domain number of the first IRF. The master device in the PE device is configured to configure a LACP MAD detection function on a port connected to the CBby each member device. The split detection system and method of the present invention, each member device of PE equipment forwards LACP message through CB, it is necessary to exchange Domain ID and Active ID with each other through LACP message in PE equipments, so as to realize split detection of IRF as PE equipments, thus reducing the number of intermediate equipments and saving the cost of networking equipments.
