A method and a device for crosstalk equalisation in an SDM system, used for reducing the number of FIR filters used, and effectively reducing system complexity; the method comprises: a DSP module acquiring M digital signals, and on the basis of the fibre core used for transmitting an optical signal corresponding to each of the transmitted digital signals, dividing the M digital signals into C signal groups; implementing inter-module crosstalk equalisation of N digital signals in each signal group by means of an N x N MIMO equaliser; for each signal group, respectively implementing re-sampling of the N digital signals outputted by the corresponding N x N MIMO equaliser, and coupling same into a coupled digital signal to obtain C coupled digital signals, each signal group corresponding to a coupled digital signal; and implementing inter-core crosstalk equalisation of the C coupled digital signals by means of a corresponding C x C MIMO equaliser.
