Abstract

The embodiment of the present invention provides a foreign object detecting structure and method and a mobile terminal. The foreign object detecting structure is applied to the mobile terminal and includes at least two electrodes arranged on an opposite side of an inner wall of the mobile terminal, an electrode pin connected to the electrodes, and an analog-to-digital converter ADC port connectedto the electrode pin, wherein a capacitance detecting structure is formed by the electrodes inside the mobile terminal, and whether a foreign object enters into the mobile terminal can be determined by detecting a voltage difference on the electrodes. According to the embodiment, the entire mobile terminal is monitored by the foreign object detecting structure, once the foreign object enters, a user can be promptly prompted to perform cleaning, the abnormal function of the mobile terminal is prevented, and the service life of the mobile terminal is improved.
