Abstract

The invention discloses an electric meter box enabling more secure wiring. The electric meter box comprises a box cover and a box body; the box cover is installed at the front end of the box body; thebox cover and the box body are fixedly connected with each other through hinges; two main wire locking devices are additionally arranged inside the electric meter box; the two main wire locking devices are respectively installed on the inner walls of the left end and right end of the box body directly above two main wire holes; and therefore, after an electric meter and a total switch in the electric meter box are wired and installed, main wires passing through the main wire holes can be locked and fixed through the main wire locking devices. The wires passing through the wire holes can be prevented from loosening, and a condition that the wires are loosened and detached from the electric meter or the total switch which is caused by manual pulling of the wires can be prevented, and thus,short circuits and fires caused by the looseness and falling off of the wires can be avoided. With the main wire locking devices adopted, the use safety of the electric meter box as well as the electric meter and switch in the electric meter box can be greatly enhanced.
