Abstract

The invention relates to an electric heater which comprises a foreign matter detection device, a control device and an electric heater body. The foreign matter detection device and the control deviceare arranged in the electric heater body and the foreign matter detection device and the electric heater are electrically connected to the control device; the foreign matter detection device emits a detection signal to a heat output area of a heat dissipating port of the electric heater body and outputs a result signal which feeds back whether the detection signal is shielded by a foreign matter or not to the control device. The control device controls the electric heater body to stop heating work when the result signal is a signal which feeds back that the detection signal is shielded by theforeign matter.
