Problems solved by technology

[0004] However, due to the high dimensionality and complex spatial structure of the three-dimensional flow field, the above three-dimensional streamline placement methods all face common problems and deficiencies when dealing with the three-dimensional flow field.
This is mainly manifested in: a small number of streamlines is difficult to effectively reveal the three-dimensional flow field; in order to reveal the flow field information more comprehensively, a large number of streamlines must be placed; and a large number of streamlines often cause serious occlusion and visual confusion in three-dimensional space , thus affecting the flow field visualization effect
[0005] In order to solve the serious occlusion and visual confusion problems existing in conventional streamline visualization technology when dealing with three-dimensional flow field, the present invention proposes a three-dimensional flow field visualization method based on streamline length accumulation

Embodiment Construction

[0025] Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0026] figure 1 A processing flowchart of a three-dimensional flow field visualization method based on streamline length accumulation according to the present invention is given, and its main steps are as follows:

[0027] Step 1. Input the vector data V describing the three-dimensional flow field.

[0028] The present invention adopts a three-dimensional flow field simulating a tornado as an implementation example. The domain of the flow field is [0,39]×[0,39]×[0,39], and the vector data V describing the flow field is a three-dimensional volume data, where the number of voxels is 40×40× 40, each voxel contains a corresponding three-dimensional vector.

[0029] Step 2. According to the vector data V, place a large number of substantially evenly distributed 3D streamlines in the 3D flow field to obtain a set of streamlines L. The methods of...

Abstract

The invention relates to a three-dimensional flow field visualization method based on streamline length accumulation, and belongs to the technical field of flow field visualization. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, placing a large number of basically-uniform streamlines in a three-dimensional flow field; then, voxelizing the streamline voxels by accumulating the streamline lengths in the voxel cells to form streamline voxel data; and drawing the streamline volume data by using a direct volume rendering technology to obtain a visualization result of the three-dimensional flowfield. According to the method, through the streamline voxelization and volume rendering technology, the shielding condition of a streamline in a three-dimensional flow field is improved, the displayof internal structure characteristics of the flow field is enhanced, and the interactive visual analysis of the three-dimensional flow field is facilitated.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a three-dimensional flow field visualization method, in particular to a three-dimensional flow field visualization method based on streamline length accumulation, and belongs to the field of flow field visualization technology. Background technique [0002] Flow field visualization has a wide range of applications in fields such as aerodynamics and fluid mechanics. One of the purposes of its application is to reveal the characteristics of the flow field contained in the flow field data, so as to better study and understand the characteristics and laws of the flow field. For a two-dimensional flow field, this goal is not difficult to achieve. Conventional streamline visualization techniques, such as the image-guided streamline placement method (see G.Turk and D.Banks.Image-guided streamline placement.Proc.ACM SIGGRAPH'96,1996:453-460.), can be well The structure of the flow field and the flow pattern of the flow field are clea...
