According to the energy-saving virtual machine placement method for the cloud computing data center, a single physical server is preferentially selected for creating a virtual machine, and then the physical servers in the same sub area are selected for creating virtual machines; under the circumstances that the single physical server and the physical servers in the same sub area do not exist, the physical server sequence with the highest centralization degree is finally selected for creating the virtual machines, the virtual machines of the cloud computing data center are placed in an energy-saving manner, the energy-saving effect is remarkable, and the application and popularization are facilitated.
