Abstract

The invention discloses a composition for preventing and treating hyperuricemia and application thereof. The composition comprises an effective amount of carvacrol and an excipient or an additive. Thecomposition can be used for preparing medicines or health products for preventing or treating hyperuricemia and gout. Experiments of control model mice prove that indexes, such as uric acid and creatinine, in hyperuricemia can be remarkably reduced by using the composition.
