Thecooling device is equipped with a freezer for cooling the object to be cooled, an electromagnetic wave radiation unit which emits an electromagnetic wave at the object to be cooled in order to internally heat the object to be cooled, and is capable of varying the frequency of the emitted electromagnetic wave, and a control unit which controls the operation of the freezer and the electromagnetic wave radiation unit, and performs a supercooling operation for cooling the object to be cooled using the freezer while radiating the object to be cooled with the electromagnetic wave.
