Abstract

The invention discloses a lost motion assembly. The lost motion assembly is used for synchronizing the opening and closing action of a centrally open door in response to movement of a belt in the first direction and the second direction in an elevator. The assembly comprises a first connecting rod provided with a plurality of opposite ends, the opposite ends comprise a first end and a second end,the first end is connected to the belt, the first connecting rod is connected to a first door at the position of a first pivot so as to be used for pivoting the first connecting rod in the first pivoting direction and the relative second pivoting direction, in addition, the first pivot is arranged in the middle of the opposite ends, when the belt moves in the first direction, the first connectingrod pivots in the first pivoting direction, in addition, when the belt moves in the second direction, the first connecting rod pivots in the second pivoting direction, and moreover, the first door remains stationary while the first connecting rod pivots.
