Abstract

The invention relates to a method for screening solvent treatment process parameters of a polymer porous ion conduction membrane for a flow battery. The method comprises: characterizing the interaction strength between a polymer and a solvent by utilizing polymer-solvent interaction parameters; predicting the film forming mechanism of the polymer porous ion conducting film by judging the strengthof the interaction of different polymers and solvents; screening out proper solvent treatment process parameters by combining calculation of the relative swelling rate and shrinkage rate of the polymer porous ion conduction membrane. The polymer porous ion conduction membrane is prepared from one or more than two of polar group-containing organic polymer resins as raw materials. By adopting the screened solvent treatment process parameters, the treated polymer porous ion conduction membrane has more compact morphology and higher pore connectivity, so that the assembled all-vanadium redox flowbattery has higher battery efficiency and longer cycle life.
