Abstract

Wireless communication systems and methods related to signaling medium reservation information for medium sharing between multiple radio access technologies (RATs) are provided. The first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device transmit a reservation signal for reserving a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a frequency spectrum. This spectrum is shared by various RATs. The reservation signal includes a plurality of first waveform sequences indicative of medium reservation information detectable by a plurality of RATs. The first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device are associated with a first RAT of the plurality of RATs. The first wireless communication device transmits communication signals with the second wireless communication device using the first RAT in the frequency spectrum during the TXOP.
