Embodiment Construction

[0056] In the description that follows, the procedure according to the invention is mainly explained by way of an example related to the detection of anomalies in a drinking water distribution network. However, the invention is not limited to these examples and can be applied to any detection of events related to the quality of water, based on the measurements of at least two sensors.

[0057] figure 1 An exemplary probe intended to detect anomalies in a water distribution network representing a collection according to an embodiment of the invention.

[0058] The probe 100 is intended to detect anomalies in a water distribution network. Probes may be placed at any point in the water distribution network, for example at the outlet of a drinking water production facility, at the outlet of a water storage tank, at a point of consumption or at any other point.

[0059] The probe 100 is connected eg by a set of sensor cables 120 to a pipe 130 of a water distribution network, or i...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for detecting and characterizing anomalies in a continuum of water. The device is configured to receive measurements of physical quantities from sensors situated in the continuum of water. The measurements are thereafter transformed, and anomalies are detected by an anomaly detector which is trained with transformed values obtained from the above sensors. In parallel with the detection, predefined rules make it possible to characterize a possible anomaly. Thus, an anomaly detection can be optimized for one continuum of water in particular, whilst the characterization with predefined rules allows the device to be operational without each anomaly having had to be detected in this particular continuum of water.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of water management in water distribution networks or natural spaces. More specifically, the invention relates to the detection of anomalies affecting water quality. Background technique [0002] Water distribution networks can be affected by several anomalies that affect water quality. For example, water may be contaminated by various pollutants introduced intentionally or unintentionally by water backflow or connection errors, by particles of substances that regularly settle in pipes and suddenly return to suspension, by reactions with the constituent materials of the network Or contaminated by bacteria during the phenomenon of bacterial regrowth. In order to prevent harmful effects that may be caused by contamination or more generally by degradation of water quality (changes in colour, taste, smell, etc.) that may cause user discomfort, any event affecting water quality should be detected and characterized as qui...
