Abstract

An intake pipe for an internal combustion engine includes a tubular body formed of a compression-molded fiber molded body. The main body includes alternately arranged regions in which air-impermeable high-compression portions and air-permeable low-compression portions compression-molded at a compression ratio lower than that of the high-compression portions are alternately arranged in an axial direction of the main body. Alternately arranged regions are configured such that any pair of points in their upstream and downstream regions that are equidistant in the axial direction from the central position includes only points where both of the points are located in the low-compression portion and one of the points is located in the in the low compression section and another point in the high compression section.
