Abstract

The invention relates to contextual paste target prediction. Contextual paste target prediction is used to predict one or more target applications of a paste action, and this is achieved based on contexts associated with previously selected and copied content. The predicted results may be used to present one or more user controls to a user to enable the user to activate one or more predicted applications; in some cases, once the one or more predicted applications are activated, the state of the predicted applications is also configured to use the selected and copied content.
