Abstract

A pair of symmetrical mounting brackets is provided for mounting one of a plurality of air filters to a mounting plate of an air conditioning unit. The mounting brackets each define a plurality of mounting surfaces having equidistantly spaced mounting holes. The mounting surface is separated from the plurality of holding surfaces, and the distance between each corresponding mounting surface and holding surface is different so as to adapt to different filter sizes, so that the air conditioner can be operated by using the filters with different sizes by simply changing the mounting direction of the mounting bracket.
