AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This patented technology helps verify if any new or updated computer program works correctly by generating two different types of checks called specifications (requirements) and designs). These tests help identify potential bugs before they can affect their performance on other computers. By combining these checks together, this process becomes more efficient than traditional methods like manual testing alone.

Problems solved by technology

Technological Problem: Airborne Software Code (ASIC) Verifications are currently being performed by government agencies due to increased risk for failures caused by factors like hardware or environmental issues such as temperature fluctuations during operation. These concerns have led researchers into developing new ways to verify ASICs safely without compromising its functionality.

Abstract

The invention discloses an airborne software formal verification system. The system comprises a demand verification result generation module, a source code verification result generation module, a target code verification result generation module and a verification passing module. Therefore, by adopting the embodiment of the invention, the verification activity of the airborne software is divided into three stages of demand and design, source code and executable target code, and a formalized analysis and verification methodology is provided for verification by aiming at the verification activity of each stage and combining a verification target defined in DO-333; therefore, the security of the airborne software is improved.
