[0026] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating a known process of evaluating a large portfolio of assets 12 through an evaluation period until, for example, at an auction, a bid is made to purchase the asset portfolio 12. Figure 10 . Figure 1 is a high-level overview of a typical evaluation and extrapolation process 10 that is neither iterative nor automatic. in gesture Figure 10 In , an appraiser appraises 14 a number of individual assets in a portfolio 12 to generate a first appraised portion 16 and an untouched remainder 18 . Before any property is appraised, the first part 16 is zero percent of the property 12 and the remaining part 18 is one hundred percent. As the evaluation process progresses, the first part 16 increases and the remaining part 18 decreases. The stated goal is to evaluate as many assets as possible for the purchase of the portfolio prior to making an offer. The team of assessors continues to assess 14 individually until an offer is imminent. A ...

Abstract

A method of inferring valuation of large groups of assets by credit scores includes the steps of organizing valuation scores, adjusting valuation scores based on special factors and business decisions, reconciling multiple valuation scores which describe the same assets and making an overall adjustment to override the inferred valuation. Individual asset values are developed and listed in tables (136) so that individual asset values can be rapidly taken from the tables and quickly grouped for bidding purposes. The valuations are collected into a database (76), divided into categories by credit variable, subdivided by ratings as to those variables and then rated individually.
