Abstract

Provided is a method of discriminating advancing or backing of a vehicle utilizing an optical sensor and a method of imaging the violating vehicle, and a vehicle-sensing device. A first optical sensor is installed across a vehicle road and senses the movement of the vehicle. A second the optical sensor is installed parallel to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle road at a prescribed interval from the first optical sensor and senses the movement of the vehicle. A control part receives vehicle-sensing signals of the first optical sensor and the second optical sensor for inspecting the light-transmitting state and the light-shielding state, stores changes in the condition, when the light-transmitting state and the light-shielding state change, and discriminates advancing and backing of the vehicle, by the comparison of a state change pattern.
