Abstract

The present invention provided a workpiece input device which grips a work without applying stress to the workpiece, and a gripping apparatus with such a simple structure that grips the workpiece with a variable thickness by a uniform force. This device has the pair of the gripping fixtures 2, 3 which grips the workpiece 1 in a strip shape, an input fixture 5 which pushes and moves a plurality of layered workpieces to a grip position of the gripping fixtures on a moving surface 4, and a back-up fixture which supports the workpiece at the grip position on the opposite side of the input fixture. The input fixture has a fork shape portion formed by three claws protruded in such a direction as to press the workpiece, and the top end of the central claw 51 in the folk shape portion is protruded from the top ends of the claws 52, 53 on both the sides by a prescribed distance. Besides, a grip portion 15 of the gripping fixture 2 has two rows of slit rows 13, 14 in which a slit 12 parallel to a grip surface 11 is formed in a dashed line, and the two rows of the slit rows are drifted to be formed in a staggered shape. When the grip surface grips the work, it is so constituted that the slit is collapsed and the grip portion is elastically deformed.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of the invention application with the application number 200410000457.9, the application date being January 29, 2004, and the invention name being "workpiece input device and input fixture, and holding device and holding fixture". technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a workpiece input device, and more particularly to a workpiece input device suitable for gripping a slender workpiece without applying stress, and an input jig constituting the device. [0003] The present invention also relates to a holding device, in particular to a holding jig suitable for fixing a workpiece with slightly thick spots in the longitudinal direction and a holding device equipped with the jig. Background technique [0004] Generally, when cutting a workpiece, a pair of holding fixtures are used to fix the workpiece because the workpiece bears the cutting load. Especially when performing mirror cutting, since high cutting acc...
