Abstract

The Phone Trainer and Exerciser allows users of the phone system to practice and train in using the phone system and its various features. The telephone trainer and exerciser system provides at least one automated answerer that can be called by the user, and preferably a plurality of automated answerers, thereby allowing the user to practice different operating functions of the telephone system. By utilizing a recognizer agent, an automated responder is able to distinguish between a command issued by a user and a similar statement issued by another responder. The trainer and exerciser system can optionally include a correlator agent that provides audio and/or written transcripts of the practice sessions. Optionally, an assistance feature may also be provided to assist the user in navigating the trainer and exerciser and/or the telephone system.
