A device for applying a hair product to sections of hair includes a first part having an open cavity to contain the hair product. The product is applied to the section of hair by contacting the section of hair with the product inside the cavity and moving the device relative to the section of hair. The device also includes a second part having a retention member that is movable relative to the cavity to selectively open and close the cavity. When closed, the retention member keeps the section of hair in contact with the product inside the cavity as the device moves relative to the section of hair. The retention member preferably includes a porous and/or fibrous element that can absorb or in other words be impregnated with the hair product.

Various methods, systems and structures relating to hair treatment are disclosed. They include a kit made up of a hair dye and a hair highlight. The kit may contain instructions to apply the highlight while the hair remains moist. A bristled applicator may be included in the kit for use in applying highlight to the hair. A combination head/hair band and the hair gathering device(s) comprised of two or more joined flexible textile loops featuring adjustable circumferences. The first loop is intended to wrap around the users head and serve as a head/hair band. The second loop or loops is/are attached to the primary loop at the location(s) from which gathered hair, i.e. ponytail/pigtails/hair braid(s), are intended to be secured. The gathered hair is routed through the second loop(s) and secured by tensioning of slide device(s) defining the loop circumferences. In the one embodiment, a single length of a flexible textile cordage is routed over the wearers head and both ends are then routed through a first slide device positioned underneath the hair at the back of the head. The hair is then gathered and the cord ends are routed around opposite sides of the gathered hair, and tensioned and secured with a second slide device. The device is very elegant in its simplicity and effectiveness in restraining the hair.

An interchangeable attachment modifies the look and feel of an article, such as a hair accessory (head bands, barrettes), hand bag and clutch, belt, and cap. Devices configured to permit the application of color to hair from a solid or semi-solid hair coloring composition and methods relating to use of such devices are disclosed. The device includes a support, and a solid or semi-solid hair coloring composition fixedly disposed on the support. The solid or semi-solid hair coloring composition includes a soap gelling agent such that the hair coloring composition retains its shape, and can be provided as a block having a predefined shape. These devices are not attendant with dripping as has been associated with prior art hair color applicators.

An iron for styling hair containing opposed plates having confronting surfaces for clamping a section of hair therebetween wherein surface one or both of the plates, is formed with a plurality of depressions, e.g., dimples, distributed over its surface. Disclosed herein is an application tool (1) and methods to use the same. The application tool (1) comprises two plates (22), connected together. At least one of said two plates (22) comprises a fluid control zone (50), which run along the perimeter edge (30) of said at least one plate (22), a displacement zone (60), which at least partially separate said fluid control zone (50) from a containment zone (70). The present invention is a method for hair dyeing or bleaching by discharging in a foam from a squeeze container 6 a mixed solution of a first agent A1 and a second agent A2 of a two-part hair dye or bleach composition to apply on the hair. In the present invention, the squeeze container which includes a container body 4 and a squeeze foamer 5 is used as the squeeze container 6. At least one of the first agent A1 or the second agent A2 contains a foaming agent. The mixed solution of the first and second agents has a viscosity (25° C.) of from 1 mPa·s to 100 mPa·s. The first agent A1 and the second agent A2 are mixed in the container body 4 so as not to produce a foam. Squeezing is carried out with the squeeze container 6 stood upright so that the mixed solution A3 does not reach an air induct path 12 of the squeeze foamer 5. As a result, the mixed solution of the first and second agents of the two-part hair dye or bleach composition can be stably discharged in a fine foam using a squeeze container.
